Emtee said that he had grown frustrated after being inundated with phone calls at all hours of the day and decided to investigate, to get to the bottom of the problem.

"I get calls every two minutes from fans asking me for favours and wanting to chat. I can't spend time with my son. I can't do interviews. I can't even go to studio without someone calling me. I am becoming a receptionist for my own phone.

"So, one day I asked this person where they got my number. They said they found it on my social media. They were lying to me. I threatened them until they told me that a person had been selling my number on social media in exchange for things," Emtee explained.

Emtee said that he is searching for the person responsible for selling his number, and said that he would "make an example out of them".

"I am Emtee the hustler. I know people who know people who will find this person. And when I do, everyone will know. They will be sorry. I will make an example out of them. People think that I am a soft kid but I will show them," Emtee added.

Emtee said that the problem left him feeling depressed and upset.

"I don't understand why they are coming for me. Why don't they call Bonang? Or AKA? or Cassper? People are always calling me to help them but no one calls to help me. I'm trying to get my life in order. I'm not being dramatic. I'm just upset," Emtee said.

Multi-award winning rapper, Emtee is one celebrity you don’t just come at on social media without expecting a response.

Just like DJ Fresh, AKA and other celebrities who refuse to let their followers say just about anything to them without retaliation, Emtee responds without thinking twice.

Reigning hip hop king and Metro FM award winner, rapper Emtee, was stuck on the N1 highway after running out of petrol.

According to Sunday World, Emtee, real name Mthembeni Ndevu, was driving a silver Toyota Yaris and had to walk more than 8km carrying a fuel container to get to the nearest petrol station.

About 2km before he got to the petrol station, a shuttle coming from the same event drove by and its passengers noticed his car and stopped to rescue him.

The incident happened two weeks ago when Emtee was on his way back to Joburg after performing at a students freshers' ball at the University of Limpopo's Turfloop campus.

According to two witnesses who rescued the rapper, Emtee had left them at the event before midnight while they were waiting for their artists to perform.

On their way back to Jozi, they saw his car parked on the side of the highway.

"He was carrying a 5-litre fuel container, struggling to walk and looking tired," said one of the two witnesses.

Both witnesses said Emtee was in the company of three men and a woman.

Emtee confirmed that he was stuck on the highway coming from Turfloop, but he disputed that it was because he had run out of petrol.

"Yes, I attended a gig in Turfloop. But we didn't (get) stuck because of petrol. I can't say why. But ja, it happened, man," he said.

He said his driver had to walk for a few kilometres to get help, and claimed that he was sleeping in the car at the time.
Rapper Emtee has spoken out for the first time since rumours of a possible feud between him and his manager surfaced, telling fans watching the SA Music Awards that he and his manager are cool.

Last week reports claimed that Emtee's manager had been withholding prize money from him and fellow Ambitiouz musician Fifi Cooper.

But speaking to Bonang at the SA Music Awards on Saturday night, Emtee denied the gossip.

"Nah, it's not true. Me and my manager are really close. He's like my pops," he said.

The rapper went on to explain that he would not be where he is today if it wasn't for his manager.

The reports claimed that Ambitiouz boss Kgosi Mahumapelo had grabbed nearly half of the pair's winning loot from the Metro FM Awards earlier this year, a sum rumoured to be in the region of just under R1 million.

The reports also claimed that the artists were left frustrated after Kgosi decided to lock away their Metro FM Award statues in his office. According to a source the pair were so upset by the move that they were considering leaving the music stable if the matter was not resolved.

The rapper took to social media recently revealing that he was really disturbed when a former friend insinuated that he's part of the Illuminati.

But Emtee is determined not to let the haters get to him, choosing to focus on taking his career to new heights.

Emtee is not the first celeb to face rumours of being a part of the illuminati. The likes of Fifi Cooper, DJ Black Coffee, DJ Fresh,Pearl Modiadie, Boity and Loot Love have all previously faced accusations of being part of the worldwide "secret society."
