Actress Brenda Mhlongo has been cast to join the popular SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy and is expected to grace the small screen in November.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment on Monday‚ Generations: The Legacy publicist Gaaratwe Mokhethi confirmed the news.

“I can confirm that Brenda Mhlongo has joined Generations: The Legacy‚ and she is expected to start appearing at the beginning of November.”

Brenda will be taking on the role of Jack Mabaso’s wife‚ Nandi‚ who is also Sphe and Fana’s mother. According to Gaaratwe‚ the actress started filming in September.

Brenda is best known for her role of Rafiki in the musical The Lion King‚ which saw her bagging two international accolades; Broadway Spain Award in the best actress category as well as best new artist in Spain’s Premier Theatrical Awards.
