aka breaks with bonang

AKA and Bonang have broken.

Today, the South African rapper took to his Twitter to announce the end of his relationship with the media queen, hinting that she never loved him as much as he did her.

“Sad to announce that myself & @bonang_m have broken up. We tried guys,” he began, and added, “Guys, Don’t ever love a woman more than she loves you.”

Only in January, the South African favourite couple flew to Phuket, Thailand, for a lavish getaway where they also shot the rapper’s music video, The World is Yours. Not long after they returned, Bonang spoke up for the first time since AKA’s ex DJ Zinhle accused her of snatching her man, and then she proceeded to declare that she is ‘madly in love‘ with AKA.

Now, the rapper says it is over between them. However, Bonang Matheba is yet to speak up since his tweets surfaced.

AKA might have failed to propose to Bonang but Bonang hasn't failed to meet his family.

The couple haven't made it official yet but we are sure its just too close basing on the current status.

Just before Christmas, Bonang sent fans Christmas messages dressed in a white dress something that twitter users interpreted as a hint to her boyfriend that she was in need of the ring.

On Monday afternoon, the hashtag #AKAProposanga trended after one user said AKA had failed to read between the lines after Bonang apparently dropped all the hints that she wanted him to propose to her.
Taking to Instagram, the Supa Mega has shared pictures of his family, with Bonang helping out in the kitchen. All seems to be going well in their love nest, despite Twitter trolling her for not getting a ring.
Is Bonang to trying to throw another hint?

SA's Power couple AKA and Bonang Matheba are madly in love and the pair isn't scared to flaunt their strong relationship to the public despite critics.

Months ago, Bonang showed AKA her dream Gucci bag and surely AKA was paying attention.

Taking to her Instagram page, Bonang expressed how excited she feels after her king finally made her dream come true.

The Dionysus GG Supreme is currently priced as $2,290 on Gucci's official site. With the current exchange rate that means that AKA paid over R38,000.
We have been used to seeing reality TV shows featuring Big brother couples for instance, Ntombifuthi Tshabala and Nkayiso Ace's "Ntombi and Ace show" and Lexi Van and Mandla's ''Mandlexi show''.

This time we are likely to have a reality TV show featuring Mzansi's Power couple AKA and Bonang. According to the current pictures shared by television producer, Legend Manqele on his desktop, its evident that the current footage, featuring on his desktop is a reality TV show involving AKA and Bonang. This fuels the suspicions of a possible reality TV Show.

Bonang has also shared a few similar pictures of the "coming soon" project. There's one particularly interesting photo of her and AKA that she later deleted.

“We are the pinnacle of SA pop culture, I don’t think there has ever been anything like that.”

AKA believes him and Bonang are SA’s Kimye and that they have set boundaries on the meaning of power couple in the country’s entertainment industry.

Speaking to Slikour, AKA said there hadn’t really been a couple like him and B.

“Connie and Shona Ferguson? No, I’m just saying at this point in our careers, we are both insanely on fire,” said AKA.

“We’ve got that going, then I’ve got my daughter with another celebrity, then I got the music, its f***** amazing then I got the controversy, then I got the house, car and the beef,” said the rapper, implying that his life is the perfect set-up for pop culture.

Bonang is not one to respond to negativity on social media, but when she does, it usually happens in the most awesome way.

One fan found this out when she quoted a statement the TV personality had allegedly made a few years back.

“2014 Bonang said 'I’m getting married in two years time' but we are even approaching 2017 now, where’s the ring at?” the fan questioned.

Not phased at all, queen B simply replied, “Who cares. I’m guaped!!!”

When it was announced that Bonang was going to be the official host of the MAMAs after Trevor Noah pulled out, the first question that came to mind was how much did Queen B charge the channel for such an unexpected gig?

Well, a source revealed exclusively to ZAlebs that Queen B can pay-off a few loans with the MAMAs paycheck she received. Bonang reportedly made close to R500 000 on hosting the event. Trevor Noah who was set to host the awards show had to pull out at the last minute due to illness and Queen B was the only alternative for the MTV team. Bonang agreed to hosting the event but with the condition that the team fly her stylist, Harrison Crite, all the way from New York.

Harrison-styled the Queen in 5 showstopper gowns. With less than 24 hours to prepare, the Queen surely slayed the LIVE TV event.

Nomzamo also reportedly earned R35000 from the job.

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah will no longer be hosting the MTV Africa MAMA Awards scheduled for tomorrow evening.

The comic has released a statement on Twitter saying he is unable to travel because of a severe ear infection that has affected his vocal chords.

He has been ordered to rest and has apologised to fans.

"Due to the infection and strain on my vocal chords the doctor has ordered me to rest. I desperately wish I could dismiss the doctor but the added risk of flying means the decision would be highly irresponsible  and may cause further damage."

Organisers have confirmed that media personality Bonang Matheba will be replacing him.

Meanwhile, people have reacted with disappointment to the news while others have wished the comedian a speedy recovery:

Trevor Noah went ahead to share a video on her instagram page to appreciate those who have bothered to send him get-well messages

Bonang Matheba has on numerous occasions made it clear that she has no room for negativity in her life. Well, that's because she's too busy slaying.

But that does not mean B will not show haters the door on social media.

And we've all witnessed this in the recent past.

Bonang graces the latest cover of Glam Africa magazine and opened up to the publication about dealing with the pitfalls of social media, keeping her life private and taking 'brand Bonang' to greater heights.

Everyone knows that B has faced her fair share of social media hate over the years, and despite the swirling commentary around her, she has often stayed silent.

Bonang says it's because she has no time for 'haters', however she is not immune to the bullying.

"When you’re anonymous you’re able to say whatever you want to whoever, whenever, so obviously social bullying and people being able to give you their thoughts at any time, anywhere – I think that’s the only downside, that it’s quite rough out there. I appreciate the input and I appreciate the comment of criticism. What I do not appreciate is the bullying [and] I don’t think anyone is immune to it," B said.

While Bonang tries her best not to entertain bullies, she does admit that some people need to be taught a lesson.

"Every now and then you just have to put a few people in their place. It comes with the territory. But social media has more positives for me than negatives," she added.

Bonang added that over the years she's come up with a 'formula' to deal with haters and she sticks to that.

In the past month alone Bonang made her point about haters crystal clear when she warned a follower "not to diss her man".

It all started when a fan told Bonang that her boo, AKA "does not suit her".

"I don't care who 'I blink with'. My happiness comes first. Ya'll ain't there when I'm sleeping at night, so I will not base my decisions on 'public appeal'. Diss my man again and I'll block," Bonang told the follower at the time.

South Africa poet and Musician, Ntsiki Mazwai is known for shading Mzansi celebrities. AKA, Bonang, Cassper Nyovest, Khanyi Mbau, Gareth Cliff are some of  few celebrities that have once landed in Ntsiki's Jabs.

At the End of September, Ntsiki threw shades to Bonang, questioning the criteria Bonang uses to choose her men and stating that she's into "trashy men". She not only dissed her choice of men but also Bonang's Beauty adding that she isn't beautiful, it's the makeup that she applies that makes her look one.

It seems like Ntsiki was warming for another round of jabs to Queen B and finally God listened to her Prayers. After Revlon announcing their global ambassador as Ciara, Ntsiki wore her punching gloves and took on Bonang to remind us about the awkward situation between Revlon & Bonang earlier this year.

If you remember, in mid March this year, Bonang took to her instagram page to make an announcement about being named a global ambassador for Revlon, however Revlon’s communication manager Michelle Stevens, disputed the allegations stating that they were still continuing their relationship with Bonang, however, they had no current plans for a global campaign with Matheba.
“Bonang is continuing her relationship with Revlon as a Brand Ambassador for South Africa. At this time, there are no plans to launch a global campaign with Bonang. As is Revlon policy, we do not comment on any further details of our Brand Ambassador contracts,” said Stevens.

Speaking to YOU, the Top Billing presenter said that he's always had a "soft spot" for Bonang.

"I've always had a soft spot for Bonang. From the get-go, she's had my back," he told the local publication.

He pointed out that she's loved and hated by many because she has become so successful in her career.

"She's misunderstood, I think, but if you're doing something right, people are going to hate you and love you - so I dig her."

Bonang recently felt the heat of Twitter when angry Metro FM listeners accused her of "double standards" and a colonised mind, after she asked one listener to speak English during her radio show this week.

A fan immediately took to Twitter after the incident to ask Bonang why callers to the show should be required to speak English, only to be told by Bonang that "Metro FM is an English station".

But it seems that explanation didn't sit well with many of her followers who took to the social media site to accuse B of having double standards.

The Chevrolet Feather Awards are back once again to celebrate public figures who’ve shocked, inspired, amused and thrilled the LGBTIQA community.

Founded as a tongue in cheek ceremony that cast light on issues that faced the LGBTI community in South Africa, while humorously honouring public figures across a range of unconventional categories, the Feathers have grown into one of the most highly anticipated features of the events calendar.

This year’s nominees include some of the hottest and most scandalous celebs in SA including Somizi, Ntando Duma and many more.

AKA , Bonang and Euphonik are also nominated for ‘best drama queen of the year’ #spicy.

Outspoken Musician and poet, Ntsiki Mazwai today morning put Bonang Matheba on a roast in a string of tweets after what appears to be a spam email was sent to Ntsiki's Account calling her a "Dog". The email also carried a message to Ntsiki advising her to try as much as she can to look pretty, back off and focus on her music that isn't selling. Although Bonang made it clear to her that it wasn't her who sent the email, Ntsiki insisted that she was because the email appears to be coming from her server and she believes that Bonang was retaliating after she said that she (bonang) has a taste in trashy men.

Ntsiki, went further to spill the beans on how she stood up for Bonang when are relationship with AKA was facing attack and also how her lawyers contacted her to “help with Euphonik.”

In response to this, Queen B told Ntsiki that it wasn't her who sent it but Mazwai couldn't agree to it.

Ntsiki Mazwai believes that Bonang Matheba's application form for men has a provision where men must tick whether they're violent or not.

When it comes to choosing the right person to spend the rest of your life with, the only one who can be sure if you are choosing well is you. We all come with the idea of the right man and how we want our lives to be in the future, so our choices rarely rely on what others think about the type we should have. Outspoken musician
Ntsiki Mazwai seems not to agree with this, after she questioned Bonang's taste in men stating that the TV personality likes falling for "trashy" and "violent" guys.

Ntsiki took to Twitter on Tuesday to claim that Bonang has a type.

Following reports of AKA being involved in altercations with event organisers and fans recently, Ntsiki took to Twitter to question Bonang's choice of men.

She also suggested an application form Bonang’s boyfriends should fill in before she gets into a relationship with them.

“On Bonang’s application form her boyfriends have to tick next to the question: are you violent?”

Mazwai advised celebrities to not put their relationships in the public eye if they did not want them to be discussed.

Rumour has it that SuperMega and his girl, Bonang Matheba might have secretly proposed on heritage day. In her recent tweet, Bonang fueled the claims after she posted four emoticons including an emoji with a wedding ring.

It set Twitter alight. Though some say she might have attended a wedding on the day, most are convinced the couple are set to walk down the aisle soon.

On Saturday night, Bonang accompanied her Bae to Limpopo Polokwane for DStv IRock Festival. The two took a private jet to the event only for AKA to end up not performing after getting on stage two hours late and the slapping incident of his road Manager.

Prior to being photographed on the carpet, Bonang met the Alice & Olivia designer Stacy Bendet. Alice & Olivia presentations are rare exclusive experiences which transport you into another world. "I've already selected my most favourite look from the show," says Bonang.

On the second look, Bonang was styled by Harrison Crite in a suit by Malan Breton which literally walked down the runway 5 days ago. Harrison says: "As soon as I saw it, I knew I needed it for B!" His thoughts on her final look, "It was everything."

AKA had a lot of fans confused late on Friday night after taking to Twitter to say that he is single, only to later delete the message.

But that wasn't the only tweet that got people talking. In a string of now deleted messages, the musician apologised to Bonang, saying that he loves her.

"Ey man *shrug* what can I say... we both a bit crazy, luckily... about each other. Sorry haters. Eat shit."

Then added:

Here's the messages that got everybody confused...

TV/radio maven Bonang Matheba is taking over the ongoing New York Fashion Week (NYFW) like she has never done before.

Queen B has been exclusively invited by some big name designers to attend their shows in the fashion capital – New York City.

The Metro FM DJ will sit front row at each designer’s fashion show as a private guest.

In addition, Matheba will be dolled up in looks from each designer’s current collection; while being given VIP treatment, personal hair and make-up.

“Through my work with Top Billing, I've attended most international fashion weeks, never have I been a designer's personal guest as Bonang Matheba,” Matheba excitedly shared.

On Monday, 12 September, Matheba will kick off her NYFW take-over by sitting front row at a total of four shows – Irina Vitjaz, Leanne Marshall, Byron Lars and Anniesa Hasibuan.

On the second day of her tour, Tuesday 13 September, Matheba will again sit front row at John Paul Ataker. To complete her day she will be a VIP guest at Alice + Olivia as well as Chiara Boni La Petite Robe.

Furthermore, Matheba will attend an exclusive fashion cocktail reception hosted by famed fashion/beauty blogger Claire Sulmers and Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter.

“Yes there's a lot of personal investment into this and staying consistent, but this acknowledgement would not be possible without the public and media endorsement from South Africans and Africans,” Matheba said.

“The many accolades/awards have not gone to waste and the continual belief from South African and African designers has added great value. More than anything, I look forward to building relationships with international designers as I continue to concur the world through fashion."

Earlier this year Matheba reiterated why she is a fashion darling when she collaborated with internationally renowned stylist Law Roach – also known as Luxury Law – for her sartorial choices as host of the 2016 Metro FM Music Awards in Durban.

The end-result saw Matheba clad in six high-fashion creations by Charbel Karam, Nicolas Jebran and Yousef Al'Jasmi.

Roach’s current A-list Hollywood clientele includes pop princess Ariana Grande and fashion chameleon Zendaya.

“When I consciously sought the styling brand of Luxury Law, other than being a South African or African fashion ‘ambassador’, I had a personal mission and that was to be on the radar of US & global fashion authorities. That personal investment is now paying off,” Matheba pointed out.

Media personality Bonang Matheba, aka Queen B is madly in love with his Bae  Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes. Ever since the two made their love public, they have been exchanging romantic messages and sharing great moments together on social media. It should also be noted that the two had a love-break which lasted only 48hrs and within that time frame Bonang deleted all of the Rapper's Photos from her social media Accounts but later on, the misunderstandings were resolved.

In what is a rare sighting, Queen B made a public declaration of her love for AKA in light of Monday being about men crushes.

It however was no surprise that Bonang’s #MCM was none other than The SupaMega, AKA himself.

“The love of my life. My best friend, my King…. The man who keeps me together!!” Bonang captioned her post
