Pearl Thusi Opens Up On Marawa Split

When we heard that one of our favourite SA personalities, Pearl Thusi, was splitting from Robert Marawa, our hearts were sore – for the longest time they were considered one of the country’s #relationshipgoals.

It was in early August of this year the Marawa announced the power couple’s split in a tweet, but since that news broke, Pearl Thusi has remained silent on the break-up, until now.

I confirm the rumour & speculation that our relationship with Miss Pearl Thusi ended a few months ago.We continue 2 be good friends though.

Sadly, her silence only seemed to fuel online speculation about what had happened between the two, which probably explains why she has no spoken out about what really happened, albeit briefly and simply an effort to quell the rumour mill.

“It’s a private issue, but it was an incredible relationship. It was an absolutely incredible relationship,” she said in an interview given to Sowetan Magazine. “I wouldn’t trade it. I learnt a lot from it. I think we’ve all taken the lessons we needed to take from that journey and hopefully we can all move forward from that. Sometimes things don’t work and they are allowed not to,” she said.
