In June this year, it was revealed that Zola 'Zola 7' had kicked his wife, Sibongile Nkabinde, out of his grandmother’s home in Dobsonville. In retaliation, she opened a case of emotional and physical abuse at the police station.
Speaking to the Sunday Sun this week, Sibongile has opened up about how their marriage turned so sour. According to her testimony, things were not at all happy behind the scenes:
“I was married to that man for 16 years and tolerated all his misdeeds. He married me and dumped me in his mother’s house in Dobsonville, Soweto. He then went to stay in Melville, Jozi, and I’d only visit him just for sex on weekends – sometimes once a month.”
A heartbroken Sibongile also added: “That marriage damaged me in ways than you could never imagine… it’s amazing how blind and tolerant love is, even to the point of tragedy.”
In June, Zola denied all knowledge of any abuse he had inflicted on his ex-wife and even denied being married to her
However, Sunday Sun is said to have a copy of their lobola letter from eight years ago.
Zola 7 has yet to respond to the latest allegations leveled by his ex-wife.
