Pearl Thusi is furious after discovering that a Nigerian blogger has been using one of her images for an advertisement
The blogger has been using Pearl’s picture to advertise a bulk SMS service in the West African country.
A Twitter user spotted the ad online, and brought it to Pearl’s attention.
“Wat is this trash? @CapacityR please call the lawyers!!!! (sic)” the actress tweeted.
The blogger’s social media advert included a link to an article on her blog, which also featured Pearl’s image
In the words of Scandal’s Olive Pope, ‘It’s [being] handled”. Pearl’s team is working on the matter.
“We’re sorting this out. It’s been done with no permission or knowledge. We are very angry,” TshisaLIVE quoted Pearl’s manager, Sarit Tomlinson.
The blogger has since removed Pearl’s picture from her blog post.
