Senzo’s father Sam Meyiwa has
on numerous occasions lambasted Kelly Khumalo for her involvement with his son‚
often blaming her for his death.
Senzo’s father has in the past
accused Kelly of “moving on too quickly‚” and even called her a “curse” to his
son.
In his recent attack on the
Asine hitmaker, Sam has hit out at Kelly Khumalo, claiming the songstress is "busy
trying to embarrass" the Meyiwa family with a new song about Senzo.
Following news that
Kelly was planning to release a song dedicated to Senzo, Sam told Sunday Sun that Kelly had
disrespected the family by not consulting them first about the song.
"I don’t know how
this girl was raised. She doesn’t have morals and she always disrespects us as
Senzo’s family. How could she write a song without our approval?" Sam
asked.
He said that Kelly should be focusing on finding Senzo's killer
and not writing songs about his son.
"Kelly’s supposed to be mourning still, because she has a
child with Senzo. But she’s busy trying to embarrass us. What I hate the most
is that she’ll make money with the song and takes care of her family while mine
suffers," Sam added.
The fuming father believes that Kelly will be
"cursed" making the tribute song. In fact, it is his wish that Kelly
is arrested while performing the song.
"I’m sure she was
involved (in Senzo's death). I wish she could get arrested while on stage
performing the song. She can go ahead making money with the song, but it’ll
curse her for the rest of her life,” said Sam.
Kelly revealed her plan
to release a song in tribute to Senzo during an interview with Anele Mdoda on
Real Talk last month.
"I have a song
called Senzo in this (upcoming) album. A song that will stay forever. It will
always be in the Kelly Khumalo archives for years to come. And one day when my
daughter listens to it she will know how I felt about her father," Kelly
told Anele.
Even though Kelly is not
allowed to speak about the night Senzo was killed two years ago‚ she told Anele
that she wants nothing more than for the nation to know the truth.
“There is nothing that I
would love more than to sit here and speak the truth‚ nothing but the truth.
It’s been two years‚ I don’t want to be exposing people for not doing their
jobs but I can’t just let it go and sit here‚ and do nothing‚” she said.
