Staying in the city for too long can make one wonder how exactly it would feel like if someone decides to try out a rural setting. Some quick hints that rapidly pop up in the head are; no nosy neighbors, you expect it to be quiet than large cities, and hardly any drama, not so? Well, I guess Actress Brenda Ngxoli has a practical answer right now.
Although it was speculated by a local tabloid that Brenda's reason to move to the rural was because she was down and out, she disagrees with the allegation stating that her switch to the rural happened because she invested in a farmhouse a few years ago.
“When I moved to ‘lalis’ (rural areas) full time‚ a local tabloid said ‘ndiwile’ (I was down and out). I knew I had a vision of how I wanted my mornings to be – tranquil‚” the actress told DRUM.
“I don’t judge‚ but I knew I didn’t want to pay rent and chase auditions for the rest of my life. Who was going to give me a bond as a freelancer?” she added.
However‚ the move to the Eastern Cape has not stopped Brenda from doing what she does best — acting. While she travels for shoots every now and then‚ her best life includes making homemade bread‚ milking her cattle‚ growing her own vegetables and if her Instagram is anything to go by‚ eating corn (lots of it) as well.
