Actress Amanda du-Pont is at a stage in her life and career, where she says no one can dim her light.
The Skeem Saam actress has in the past opened up about how she was 'laughed at' when she first took on the role of Lelo.
But that soon backfired as the show went on to become a firm favourite among viewers and one of the most watched series in the country.
Now fast forward to 2016 and Amanda has definitely held her own in the industry.
Not only has she become one of the country's much-loved actress's, she's also bagged a presenting gig on Real Goboza and is set to launch her own designer shoe collection soon.
Taking a trip down memory lane Amanda reflected on the struggles she's faced to get to where she is in her career. And one thing's for sure Amanda has quickly made her mark in the industry.
"Many know my story and how I’ve conquered so much and risen to shine. I am at a point where no one can dim my light. It shines so brightly and I am blessed that my story can inspire others to shine too and to be alight in the lives of their family and friends," she said on her newly launched blog.
Amanda went on to share some words of wisdom with fans on achieving their goals and dreams.
"Think about your goal constantly, you can do this by placing it in front of you, have it as a cellphone wall paper or a clipping on your fridge. Affirm your goal by verbally reminding yourself about it
Use your power wisely."
