Mboro has opened two cases of theft against his former marketing manager and publicist .

According to Sunday world, Leader of Incredible Happenings Ministries prophet Paseka "Mboro" Motsoeneng, opened the cases against Sonqoba Kunene at Alberton Police Station in 2014.

This was after Kunene allegedly disappeared with his Toyota Quantum and Chevrolet Spark vehicles.

The paper further reports that the Hawks have taken over the cases, following Motsoeneng's complaint that Alberton cops were dragging their feet on the matter.

Gauteng police spokesman Tsekiso Mofokeng confirmed the cases had been referred to the Hawks.

"... wish to inform you that all dockets relating [to] prophet Paseka 'Mboro' Motsoeneng are being dealt with by Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation 'Hawks', and [you] are requested to contact the office of the Hawks for information," he said in the statement.

Motsoeneng alleged that he went to Kunene for advice on his minibus, which had mechanical problems.

"He then told me he knew of a mechanic who could repair the car."

Motsoeneng said he handed the vehicle over to Kunene to take to the mechanic for repairs because of the trust he reposed in him.

"After months went by without any news of my car, I then asked him what had happened to it," he said.

"He told me that he was still waiting for it to be repaired."

When Motsoeneng's patience about the whereabouts of his car were wearing thin, Kunene, a freelance reporter for a daily newspaper, then wrote a positive story about the prophet.

"I then kept quiet because the story about my church and me was so nice, especially because that was when I was subjected to negative publicity in the media," Motsoeneng said.

"After the story was published, he asked to use my Spark, promising to return it soon. But he disappeared with it too."

Motsoeneng said he then opened the theft cases against Kunene after receiving a series of traffic violation fines for the two cars.

"In 2015, I went to the police station to enquire why this boy was not arrested," he said. "But I didn't get a satisfactory answer. I then reported the matter to the provincial office of the Saps."

Hawks spokesman Hangwani Mulaudzi said: "We can confirm the cases were opened and that the investigations are at a very sensitive stage."

The paper say that it couldn't get Kunene's comment by the time the story was published.
