It's just less than a week when we reported that generation's actress Namla Diale had quit facebook over fake accounts created in her name. A month earlier Muvhango's Nonny complained of facebook impostors who stole her identity and many more other celebrities just to mention but a few.
The latest celebrity to fall a victim of scammers is our Mzansi media Darling Bonang Matheba.
It seems a fake account using Bonang's name has been causing quite a stir on Facebook, soliciting business for a Forex agent that Queen B has no part in.
A concerned fan this week spotted the fake account, which advertises the services of an agent by the name of Aiden Abrahams, and called it out as a "fraud".
"Aiden" then responded to the allegations in a heated post, suggesting that Bonang had in fact shared the information of her own accord.
The problem is that the real Queen B knows nothing about the endorsement. When asked if the page belonged to her, Bonang responded simply by saying: "Nope."
Bonang has not revealed if any action will be will be taking any action against the fake account or advert.
