Somizi takes it to homophobes-' Your hate won't make me STRAIGHT '

South Africa's Idols SA Judge, Somizi has hit back on South African Department of Justice for failing to address the issue of LGBT.

In an angrily video that he shared on his Instagram page, Somizi expressed his dismay on the recent lesbian hate crime that involved  a young girl who was assaulted and murdered by 10 men because she was a lesbian. According to the Idols SA Judge, no one chooses to become gay or lesbian, they are born like it is the case for blacks or whites.

"I choose not to keep quite. I choose to not be silent when I see in the news or hear about corrective rape occurring in South Africa. When I hear about a young girl who is murdered because she is lesbian.

"Homophobes, get it into your skull. Being gay is just like being black or being white, you don't choose. you are just that. And the justice system, you are failing us. You are the reason why they think they can get away with murder," he said.

He further went ahead to criticize people with homophobic belief adding that their hate would not change him to Straight.

"I will tell you again, your hate will not make me straight," Somizi said.
