Mzansi's it girl and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini abandoned her scheduled Power FM talk show after an attempted break-in at her family home in Durban.
The Soccer Zone presenter was scheduled to present a show at Power FM as part of Women's Month celebrations, but did not show up for the do, citing a family emergency that she had to attend to.
Dlamini abandoned the show after she was alerted about a break-in attempt at her mother's house in Durban.
An SABC official privy to the incident revealed that Dlamini alerted the station management and producers that she would not be coming to the studios.
"She had to leave immediately after getting the news to support her mother, who was still in shock because of the thugs," said the official.

It is understood that Dlamini's mother, Queen, was in the house when the thugs tried to force their way in through the sliding doors and other windows.
"Luckily, she managed to see them before they got in and they ran away," the official said.
The information comes after allegations that Dlamini skipped the Power Talk show because she was double-booked because the radio show was scheduled to happen at the same time as she was expected to attend an announcement for the Nedbank Ke YonaTeam Search show at the company headquarters in Sandton.
However, Dlamini disputed that she was double-booked, saying she had a family emergency in Durban.
She refused to provide more details.
"I had a family emergency last night and flew out. I arrived back in JHB for the Ke Yona show at 4pm. So there was no double booking, but a situation out of my hands," said Dlamini.
On Friday, Dlamini surprised her mother with a brand new BMW X5 , and this comes amid allegations that she is about to clinch an endorsement deal with a car manufacturer in Africa.
The gorgeous model posted a video of herself and her mother at their family home where she surprised her mother with the luxury vehicle in front of some of her family members.
Dlamini's publicist Jarred Doyle confirmed that she bought the wheels for her mother.
"Minnie Dlamini is a serious business woman and takes her role in South Africa very seriously. That being said, her family is always her number one priority. Yes, she did buy her mom a BMW X5," Doyle confirmed.
