Without divulging any names, Nomzamo Mbatha finally confirmed that she has been previously engaged, in addition to addressing her rumoured beef with Jessica Nkosi during an interview on Expresso.
The TV personality was challenged to a game, Never Have I, with the show's presenters - which required her to be honest while being quizzed about her life since breaking into the industry.
One of the questions that was thrown at her during the game was whether she has been engaged before. Without shying away from the probe, she admitted to being engaged, however, did not mention to who.
"I have been engaged. Yes, I have had a rock on my finger, and I don't plan on having a rock on my finger ever again."
It was widely reported last year that Nomzamo was engaged to gospel singer Khaya Mthethwa, after he made a lobola down payment for her in 2013, rumoured to be R50 000. However, their engagement was reportedly called off when Nomzamo found "damning" messages between Khaya and her former BFF, Jessica Nkosi. Subsequently, Nomzamo and Jessica's friendship soured.
Referring to this incident, the Isibaya starlett, again, refused to mention any names when she confirmed that she's had beef with someone in the industry before, who she was friends with at some point.
"It was [beef]...We were friends, and we're not friends anymore. But there's no beef anymore, we're having chicken stir fry," she explained.
