The paper reports that the SABC had launched an internal investigation into Maboi's Twitter posts.
The social media rant suggested Kganyago was a fake and that Maboi did not take her seriously.
Maboi shot her mouth off when the Twitterati were descending upon True Love magazine for publishing unretouched pictures of Kganyago that exposed her cellulite.

When the Twitterati disapproved of her snide remarks, SuperSport United and former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane's bride-to-be disregarded them.
Instead, she insinuated that Kganyago, whose first name means love, was a fake.

According to SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago: "Management is aware of this matter. It came to our attention early this week, and we are dealing with it internally, with the affected parties."
When approached for comment, Maboi said: "I don't know what you are talking about, so I cannot comment."
Kganyago could not be reached for comment.
Sunday World understands the SABC initiated the probe to reprimand Maboi and to force a public apology out of her.
This was after her riled colleagues threatened to revolt if no action was taken against her.
Two SABC staffers, who did not want to be named because they were not allowed to speak to the media, confirmed they had informally complained to their bosses about Maboi's conduct.
"They must do to Maboi what they did to Unathi," said one staffer. "Remember, she was suspended for attacking a listener on Twitter. This is even worse because she was mean to one of her own colleagues."
Another employee said the SABC had asked Kganyago to submit her statement before they could take a decision because she had not formally complained against Maboi.
