Mpho Mokoena: The genius that scored 100% in all his matric subjects

Mpho Mokoena of Alafang Secondary School in Katlehong has received a bursary from DJ Sbu for achieving seven distinctions in the 2014 matric exams – scoring nearly 100% in most of his subjects.

DJ Sbu’s Sbusiso Leope Education Foundation this week rewarded Mokoena with a scholarship for his hard work, ahead of the release of the 2015 matric results on Wednesday.

The teenager has been trending on social media after a video clip of him was posted on DJ Sbu’s Instagram page. His subjects were physics, maths, life orientation, geography, English, Sesotho and history.

Though DJ Sbu tweeted that Mokoena had scored 100% in all of his subjects, his marks in fact ranged between 82% and 98%, the teenager told the Mail & Guardian later in the day.
