A woman who was the director of a daycare facility in Iowa was initially given a 100 year sentence for killing a 3-year-old little girl.
Just a year ago, 33-year-old Rochelle Sapp pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter, child endangerment and child endangerment resulting in death for killing Autumn Elgersma after she refused to take off her coat.

Now Judge Edward Jacobson has ordered that Sapp’s consecutive 50 year sentences be served concurrently, cutting her prison sentence in half.
The parents of the toddler, Jennifer and Philip Elgersma are wanting an explanation as to why the woman who brutally killed their toddler is being given a reduced sentence.
“I am deeply disappointed in Judge Jacobson’s order, especially given that Rochelle has shown no remorse whatsoever and accepted no responsibility for her
