Idols SA runner-up Thami Shobede is grateful to be alive after an unknown man riddled their car with bullets at a stop sign in an alleged road-rage incident
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night at the corner of Main and Fox streets in Johannesburg.

The singer told TshisaLIVE that he couldn’t even describe what he felt and that he was still shaken by it all.

“I can’t even describe what I felt. I was in complete shock. It was like I was living out a bad scene from a bad movie,” he said.

Thami said that they were at a stop sign when his friend decided to reverse because he was over the line, which is when the altercation started.

“My friend realised that there was a car behind him so immediately stopped rolling. However, the driver of the other car jumped out and began banging on our window. It wasn’t even an altercation or argument, but when I looked back I just saw this guy pull out a gun and start shooting,” he said.

Even though they sped off in panic, the car was hit by five or six bullets
Thami said he could not believe that people could want to take another life over a such a situation.
