Media personality, Boity Thulo made headlines last year when she bought herself a R4 million mansion for her 26th birthday, but excitement for her big achievement soon turned to skepticism.

A few months after the purchase, it was claimed that the house was back on the market, and didn’t really belong to her.

City Press discovered that the house was listed for sale on the Private Property website, and even more confusing, a deed search did not find any property listed in Boity’s name.

Her fans questioned how she was able to purchase a mansion with a bond around R40 000, and a brand-new Mercedes Benz 45 GLA AMG in the space of three months. Some even suggested she had a blesser.

The 27-year-old did not respond to the reports, and kept mum on her social media accounts about the drama.

Now Boity is finally setting the record straight. Speaking to Move! magazine, she says that the home is hers
Boity also hit back at the false reports about her mansion.

“It’s such a malicious article. It’s not true,” she told the publication.

The former Club 808 presenter says that she has learned not to share too much on social media.

“I have learnt that not everyone is going to be happy for you. There was so much negativity around me posting my accomplishment on social media.”
