Sunday World reports that Jub Jub’s girlfriend opened an assault case against him, and that correctional services are now investigating her claims that he physically assaulted her during a weekend visit early in December.
Vanessa Mgcina reportedly accused Jub Jub of strangling her “with both hands”, while they were at his family home on December 2.
She claimed Jub Jub got angry and shouted at her for “disturbing his rituals” and that she was left with “pains in the front of her throat” after he allegedly throttled her.
Vanessa Mgcina reportedly accused imprisoned rapper Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye of assaulting her during a weekend break fro prison.
Mgcina has, however, since withdrew the charges.
Speaking to Sunday World, she reportedly said she did so because she realised she “blew the whole thing out of proportion”.
Jub Jub is due for parole in January,
Initially recognised as a hip hop artists, Jub Jub and co-accused Themba Tshabalala were both sentenced to 25 years in jail for the murder and attempted murder of a group of school children in 2012
Four children died and two were left brain damaged when Jub Jub and Tshabalala crashed into them with their car, while drag racing on a public road.
Their respective sentences were, however, reduced to ten years, after their murder convictions were overturned to culpable homicide.
